Amenities We offer only private and semiprivate accommodations, each room with its own bath. All resident rooms are wired for telephone service and cable TV. Our one-story building has central air-conditioning for your comfort. We have a beauty/barber shop for your convenience, as well as our Wee Willow gift shop. We also have a family room; a large, main dining room; and a spacious activities room with reading materials and a computer. Outside, landscaped grounds and a walkway encircle our building. Our property also has three courtyards, two gazebos (one in our central courtyard and one along the walking path), a flower garden with fountain, and a butterfly garden. Throughout our property, you’ll find some lovely, private spaces where you can take a stroll or sit and talk while you enjoy some fresh air and nature.
Activities Staying active and involved is an important part of everyone’s health and well-being. Our seven-day-a-week activities calendar will provide you with a variety of recreational activities to help keep you mentally, physically, and spiritually active—no matter what your level of mobility is. Our resident-centered activities schedule includes gentle exercise classes, games, music, crafts, discussion groups, religious services, pet therapy, and more—all designed to keep you vibrant, energetic, and on the go. And if you have a hobby you love, you can bring that along with you.
A popular event at Fairview Commons is Babs’s Bistro. That’s when we periodically open our dining room for a restaurant-style breakfast. Residents can order anything they want, and staff members don aprons and serve. Residents also look forward to our annual, dress-up holiday dinner and our summer cookouts. We also encourage our residents to stay involved in the community. If you’re able and interested, you can join your fellow residents on shopping expeditions, for dinner out, and on other local outing. Certification/Accreditation Fairview Commons is certified by both Medicare and Medicaid. We’re also accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), a nationally recognized, independent organization that sets standards of excellence for nursing homes and other healthcare facilities. In addition, we are proud to have signed the profession-wide Quality First pledge, which further reflects our commitment to quality, ethical care and resident safety.
